Because every trip I take seems to turn into a foodie trip, I thought I'd share some of the delicious eats I encountered on a recent trip to the beautiful city of Boston!
Before arriving in Boston, I wasn't really sure what the largest city in New England had to offer up besides seafood. I mean Chicago has deep dish pizza, Philadelphia has cheesesteak, but what else did Boston own the bragging rights to?
After a little online digging and a lot of hitting the streets and taste testing, it turns out there are so many local gems that Boston can be proud of. Here are some of the ones I discovered and at the end of this list, some of the spots I missed but will need to save for my next trip!

Meet the morning grind with this vintage coffee grinder spotted at Etsy shop UpHome. Well loved and cared for, this porcelain and blue beauty is functional and has no chips, cracks, or fractures though the brass basin shows a little tarnish (and character) from age.
Besides its storybook quality, what I love most about this hand-powered appliance is it's elegant colour scheme and the way the basin seems perfect at catching the morning light.
Happy Monday!

Textile Thursday: Laura Seaby
Thursday, 28 June 2012
This cheerful tea towel comes courtesy of Cheltenham-based printmaker and illustrator Laura Seaby. Screen printed in dark teal and pale turquoise ink on natural cotton, it would be a perfect addition to a kitchen with a modern and darker colour palette.
Prefer a more vintage look to decorate your favourite tea nook? Seaby also offers a paler art print at online retailer Keep Calm Gallery.
Which version do you like the most?
See more of Seaby's fun and eye-catching work here or read a quick interview with the talented artist on the illustre.com blog!
Happy Thursday!

::: TV Dinner...a new feature serving up two of North America's favourite pastimes, TV and food! :::
For fans of the acerbic and hilarious diner sitcom 2 Broke Girls...(with acerbic and hilarious leading lady Kat Dennings)
May I suggest this equally amusing 'Brooklynese' coffee set from New York houseware gem Fishs Eddy?
Includes two cups of cawfee, a shuguh, and a creamuh (USD $41) for your favourite hipster or hobo (wherever they may fall on that spectrum.)
